Sports Physiotherapy

Many gyms and Physiotherapy clinics offer Sports Physiotherapy; however the level of skill and specialisation offered at these clinics will vary significantly depending on the skills, qualifications and experiences of the staff providing the service there.

Sports Physiotherapy and rehabilitation requires a skilled, experienced team of professionals who understand sport, your injury and therefore your rehabilitation needs.

At Bodybalance Physiotherapy we have a team of experienced fitness professional who work in collaboration with our Chartered Physiotherapists to ensure your smooth return back into your sport.

Through years of clinical experience working with athletes from recreational to elite standard (including World, Olympic and Paralympic level) we understand which techniques to apply and when to apply them to gain maximum effectiveness and integrate sport specificity during all stages of injury recovery.

Our answer to injury is not simply ‘REST’ and we will not automatically stop you from participating in your chosen activities just because you are injured. We are dedicated to maintaining and improving your fitness whilst we return you back to your sport and prevent injury reoccurrence by assessing your imbalances, core stability, skill level and performance.

Our multidisciplinary team consists of Chartered Physiotherapists, sports massage therapists, fitness instructors and personal trainers. Although we do not house Doctors and Podiatrists we have established relationships with a range of specialist consultants who can accept private or insurance referrals. All the professionals have a research lead knowledge on injury rehabilitation; they are familiar with the demands of your sport, understand your needs and are dedicated to enhancing your performance.

Whether your goals is to commence exercise, improve your fitness, get rid of that niggling pain or get back onto the playing field we can design a specific, co-ordinated programme tailored to your individual needs.
