Bodybalance Clinic
Bodybalance
Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic was established in
1999 to initially provide student athletes and staff at the
University of Hertfordshire with an opportunity to regain
their full fitness and return to activities following injury.Since
this time the clinic has expanded, has new facilities and
is now fully accessible to the local community, sports clubs
and International athletes alike.
Our
Philosophy
At Bodybalance Physiotherapy our philosophy is a holistic
approach to patient centred care ensuring that the patient
is viewed as a whole individual rather than just ‘body
parts’.
Whatever
your needs our detailed assessment process will ensure that
we identify the cause of the problem rather than just treating
the symptoms. Evidence over the years has indicated that there
are multiple pathogies that can affect the same joint. ‘Anterior
knee pain’ for example affects 60% of athletes and 25%
of the general public. Treatment of this condition is not
as straight forward as ‘strengthening the knee’.
The Chartered Physiotherapists at Bodybalance will ensure
that you are comprehensively assessed; this may require looking
at the foot, hip and back in addition to how you walk, run
and play sport. It is also important to understand your fitness
levels, how you train, your motivation, your footwear, as
well as your knee!
It
is our aim to empower you to manage your own condition to
ensure that you do not become reliant on physiotherapy.
